? Wellness Council. School rec’d $5K grant. Ordering products. Working on the Room –
painting and cleaning up. Assembly on May 5th, which will be the date to launch the
room. Currently called Student Wellness Centre.

? The Eye on LP gives great information all year – but especially this time of year.
Question: Convocation Tickets available Response: They are issued in May.
? Looking at how EYE on LP can become a live doc on the school website. Looking at options to make the EYE more user-friendly where you do not need to fish through to find what you need.
Question: Can there be a hyperlink to the council website. Response: Yes
? Library will be packed up around June 14/15. This will throw a wrench into the study area but it allows reno to start and hopefully be done within 8 weeks.
? Turf. Shovels in the ground starting September 2025. Looking at how to move classes/sports to other locations or manage modifications. TDSB said they are looking at the entire green space. Hoping that entire property can be beautified.
Question: Will there be a track? Response: Yes, track is part of the contract. Now debate is deciding a 4 lane or 6 lane track. Experts will decide.

Question: What about a scoreboard? Response: Not decided. Are we repairing the old one? Closer to construction we will know.
Question: Why can’t digging happen in summer? Response: TDSB still has to finalize some plans and contractors’ lower cost in fall months instead of summer
Question: Pool. Any update on having it fixed? Response: It should be ready for September.
Question: Fencing around the field? Response: Fencing is controversial. Public looks to use it when not permitted; therefore try to keep it accessible.
Question: School Messenger. When kids are on trips/extracurricular and I’ve signed permission forms- why are they marked absent? Response: Coaches need to put lists in. If the list comes in too late, then often names do not get put in the system. Often the
issue with human capacity as office staff can be overloaded. This is not unique to LPCI.
Question: Boys bathroom update. Informed that they had been repaired and clean. Are they all clean, workable and open. Response: Last check, 1st floor had to be closed. 2nd was open. 3rd was possibly not open. Single stall – need to confirm. Will send a
text to the Council Chair to give an update.
? TDSB Mental Health Nurse comes to offer support. Has designed a program to reduce vaping.
? Looking to redesign one of the washrooms that can become foolproof to destruction and tampering. Designer will come to look and suggest washroom design. Long-term project.
